Kanchenjunga is the best and popular trekking region which is lies on the eastern border of Nepal and providing different opportunities to the trekkers to explore the panoramic views of Mountains, diverse flora and fauna and rich culture, tradition, language as well as their dress etc. The Kanchenjunga base camp trek is opening from since 1988 for foreign travellers. The journey of Kanchenjunga base camp trek commences from Taplejung (Suketar) after taking flight from Kathmandu to Taplejung. The real trekking begins from sure tar, the trek leads to Chauki through the villages of Ghana, Mitlung, Khanbachen, and Lhonak to Pangpema ( 5140m ) which is also the base for expeditions attempting the North Face of Kanchenjunga II and the culmination of the first part of the trek.
The Kanchenjunga 8586 m which is the 3rd highest peak in the world after Mount Everest (8848m) and Mount k2 (8611m). We are also able to see four top peak which height is more than 8000m i.e. Kanchenjunga or Yalung Kang etc. There are many peaks which height is more than 7000m such as Kambachen (7,903m), Jannu (7,710m), Jong song (7,483m), Kabru (7,353m), Tent Peak (7,365m) and the Twins (7,350m).
