1) Foods and accommodations

The accommodation in the mountains and remote villages are normally in a twin- shared basis. The rooms are available with just a bed with a pillow and a blanket. Likewise, the shower and rest room are also on sharing basis. However, when you reach higher altitudes, accommodation becomes more basic, and you might need to stay in tents at the base camp.

Teashops and lodges provide meals, which are often a mix of Nepalese and western cuisine that meets the preferences of various trekkers. All the food will be cooked by the local cook by using local vegetables and the taste would be very local.

2) Travel Insurance

Obtaining travel insurance is strongly recommended when planning to trek Everest base camp with Lobuche peak or involve in any other adventurous activities in Nepal. It includes high- altitude trekking, which may be physically challenging and dangerous. Travel insurance can cover you financially in the event of an accident, a medical emergency, a flight cancellation or delay, or lost or stolen luggage.

When buying travel insurance for the Everest base camp with Lobuche peak, ensure that it covers high- altitude trekking and climbing, coverage for emergency medical evacuation by helicopter if needed, as these can be expansive without insurance. Additionally, confirm that your insurance policy includes adventure activities such as climbing, mountaineering, and trekking. Lastly, remember to carefully read the terms and conditions of the insurance policy and understand its coverage limits, claim procedures, and any required documentations. It’s important to carry a copy of your insurance policy, emergency contact numbers, and relevant details with you during the trek.

It’s always helpful to receive necessary training and guidance from experience climbing guides to ensure your safety, enhance your climbing experience and achieve valuable guidance throughout the journey.

Therefore, it is highly recommended to take a service from Nepal Holiday Treks and Tours Pvt. Ltd. which is reliable agency registered with the government of Nepal. 4) Physical fitness

It involves long days of trekking, steep ascents and endurance at high- altitudes, and strenuous climb. So, one must be physically fit with high stamina as well as mentally prepared to tackle the hard path. So, this trek is not recommended for those who are suffering from chronic ailments or have heart or lung diseases. It is better to avoid this trip.

However, all the trekkers having an excellent level of fitness can easily complete this trek. If you have any kind of previous trekking experience or mountaineering skills it will be an added advantage.

5) Altitude Sickness

Altitude sickness is common in the mountains, when you travel to a high altitude too quickly. Headache, nausea, tiredness etc are the symptoms occur when your body tries to adjust to the lower air pressure and lower oxygen levels at high altitudes. When it comes to this illness, be conscious and take a rest where you are and inform your guide or friends immediately.

Suitable time for Everest base camp with Lobuche peak Spring is the pre- monsoon period when nature regenerates its lost beauty. In this season there is stronger sunlight, temperature begins to rise and the days grow longer which makes the climbing convenient. Similarly, autum is also another best season for climbing peaks where temperatures are mild, weather is relatively stable, and the clear skies offers impressive mountain views. However, summer and winter is also fairly suitable for those who wants to experience more thrilling in every step as in this season the path way is muddy and slippery and covered with snow which makes the trail more difficult.

6) Permits

Everest base camp with Lobuche peak trekking and climbing requires two different permits:

1. The Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit

2. The climbing permit for Lobuche peak
