Dhaulagiri I is the seventh highest peak in the world and its altitude is 8,167 meters (26,795 ft) measured from sea level.

Dhaulagiri which means “White Mountains” in Nepali literally is located in the western part of Nepal beyond the Annapurna region. The world’s deepest gorge Kali Gandaki separates Dhaulagiri from Annapurna region. The region includes some fifteen peaks that are above 7000 meter in altitude.
