Namo Buddha is a mostly visited pilgrimage site in Nepal, erected by a king in memory of his youngest son in 4000 BC. It is situated in the Kavre district about 40 km southeast of Kathmandu. It is a great destination for Buddhist devotees and a best opportunity for everyone who is interested in Buddhist culture and history. Similarly, it has great significance as it is believed to be place where Lord Buddha, in previous life, sacrificed his own body to feed a hungry tigress and her cubs.
